For many people, getting their swing to be where they want it is one of the most frustrating aspects of the game of golf. Minute shifts in stance or power can have such a major impact on the swing that it can be very hard trying to work out any kinks. For these people, there are golf swing instructions.

Golf swing instructions can generally be purchased in book form at any major bookstore. While everyone’s swing is different, these books will give you an idea of what is universally wrong or right with a swing. For instance, if you have a terrible slice, you may be able to diagnose it just by reading a book on fixing your swing.

If you haven’t ever taken the time to check out George Plimpton’s “The Bogey Man,” be sure to put it on your reading list now. It is easily the most amusing and in some ways insightful book on golf ever written. Plimpton really captures the lonely, Pyrrhic struggle of the game, the sense that even the best shot in the world may be nothing more than a prelude to some ludicrous disaster on the following shot. Another great thing about this particular book on golf is that it offers a rare glimpse into the professional tour and the unique personalities that populated that world a few decades back. If you read only one book on golf, make it this one!

When most people think of golf, one name immediately pops into their head. That name is Tiger Woods, and he’s doing much more than
just making birdies at this point in his career. In addition to his real estate holdings and his golf course design ventures, Tiger Woods has now written a golf book.

The golf book is completely instructional and it’s titled, “How I Play Golf”. With this work, Woods has successfully created a legacy for himself. Though one book alone is not nearly enough to help every weekend golfer in the world play like Tiger Woods, it does do a good bit to help those people who want to get better at the game. With certain psychological tricks and some outright mechanical help, this golf book is an excellent one for people who have a desire to start playing rounds a little bit more like Tiger, and less like themselves.
