Many people who play the game of golf are looking to improve their handicap by a few strokes. For those of us who have made this type of improvement, we know what it takes to get there. Getting better is possible, but you’ll need a fair amount of golf course instruction to make it happen. From there, the rest has to be done on your own.

Golf is a highly personal game, so no amount of golf course instruction is going to do it for you. If you are going to really get to the point where your scores are low, it will take lots of buckets of balls on the driving range. If you have a nice foundation to build from with your golf course instruction, it can make the process much easier, though.

I took a few golf swings at the driving range the other day, and I’m having trouble hitting the ball straight. This has been a constant problem with my game over the years, and I thought I was past it, but apparently I’m going to have to struggle again. I may end up having to take some additional instruction to help me get past this particular problem. Spending some time every week taking golf swings at the driving range has been helpful, but obviously it’s not enough because the problem has popped up again. It’s amazing how difficult golf can be when it’s fundamentally such a simple game.
